Thanks Fall

No complaint from me about the rain at the end of the day, because that meant we ran inside, lit the fireplace and watched a Halloween movie or show! Today was a great everyday adventure.https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1CKD2vY0ny9FyIuEdMKCjvNmkoAaqrWkY

First rain free Saturday in a while and we were ready! A little chill didn’t stop the excitement of finally getting out our outside Halloween decorations. So ready for action, we bundled up as a family and headed out to dust off our old friends... “Welcome back spooky tree, good to see you scarecrows, wow ghostly are you ready to scare?”
Thanks to my folks for supplying a pick up truck of corn stalks and pumpkins - a now annual tradition- we accented our home in the best fall colors this morning. My favorite part is how the kids help out. We cut the corn from the stalks to keep the squirrels out of them, so the kiddos help get all the ears in a bucket! My littlest made a point to tote a few tiny gourds to multiple locations the entire time, and of course we all carried pumpkins, picking our favorites!

After lunch I  took my own advice and loaded up the kiddos to go check out a free local octoberfest. A little harder without dad along, because no rain meant grass mowing, but the adventure was worth it!  We had so much fun! Pony ride, petting zoo and decorated a few pumpkins...oh & ice cream while listening to polka music = big smiles! We wrapped up just as it started raining and home to warm up and relax together.

I ordered take out and fired up a few Halloween shows. No school or work tomorrow, life’s too short not to appreciate this chilly day snuggles on the couch... thanks Fall.
